I use the term "diet" rather loosely, of course; but I have, I guess "discovered" that if I have a turkey (yes.....AND bacon) sub every evening for dinner, I somehow lose weight......well.....my "gut" is getting smaller anyway.
I get home from work kinda late to start cooking. If I do cook, I don't eat til around 8 in the evening; sometimes later. So, on the way home, I'll stop by Wa-Wa and get a turkey sub; 10 inch or foot long; whatever it is; almost every day. The folks on the weekday afternoon shift know me by now. One day, one of the crew actually handed me a bag of chips that I always get with my sub, as soon as I walked in the door.
Well, I think those subs have actually helped me lose the weight. I went to my folks' place for dinner the other night and Mom looks at me and asks if I was losing weight. I told Mom, "I must be." "I have had to tighten my belt one more notch."
So, I suppose there is something advantagous (sp??) to eating the same thing......every.....day. I guess, when I get tired of it, I'll just go back to pizzas.
Oh yeah.....I quit smoking about three weeks ago too, and I'm STILL not "ballooning' up.....go figure
