"Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced Thursday it is expanding its $4 prescription program in Arizona and nationwide.

The Bentonville, Ark.-based retail chain operates 50 pharmacies within its stores in the metropolitan Phoenix area. Company officials say the program has saved Americans more than $610 million in its first year of operation. "
