On August 12, 2006 at 10:20 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Maryland Bank & Trust located at 3175 Leonardtown Road in Waldorf for the report of a bank robbery. The investigation revealed that the suspect approached a teller, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The teller complied and the suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
There were 5 bank employees and 1 customer in the bank at the time of the robbery. None of the bank’s employees or the customer was injured.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 60 years of age, balding with gray hair and tattoos on his forearms. He was wearing a white button short sleeve shirt.
The surveillance cameras in the bank captured a photograph of the robbery and suspect.
