Walgreens Lusby ripped off my kid!

My daughter raised money by working hard to pull her grades up.

She earned some money by pulling at D to a B.

Then she decided to go shopping at Walgreens to buy some nail polish.

She is thrifty... she found some nail polish that was buy one get one free....

Great Big Signs on the shelves drew her to the correct nail polish.

Then they charged her for both bottles..... poor kid....

I took the receipt back for her tonight... the manager was very nice and she refunded the money... she stated she didn't know how it happened....

I think it's funny that they advertise "a perfect world" ... In a perfect world people do things right the first time... in a perfect world a 10th grader doesn't get ripped off!

I wouldn't say anything... but this is not the first problem we've had with Walgreens... I am not at all impressed!

You got a refund for a mistake on $5 (A guess because I have no idea how much nail polish cost) and this is worthy of starting a thread and trashing a place how?

WDF. So worth the wait.

In a perfect world, a 10th grader should know to look at her own reciept before she leaves the store. Then she would take care of any problem on her own.

Good God, she is in 10th grade, if they rang it up wrong, doesnt she have a mouth to speak up that it was rung incorrectly. You want to bash them, but they gave you your money back, good greif.

I let it go the time they overcharged me... and I caught it at the register, then had to wait at the cosmetic counter to get it straightened out....

I let it go the time they advertised several items [school supplies] and had none of them in stock... like in a perfect world....

I let it go when my neighbor was complaining about being overcharged. [She had to get a babysitter so she could go back up there and get a credit]

This time... I thought I'd warn others .... and then let it go...

I feel better now...

You may be overreacting a lil'. They refunded her money. Most tellers, barely have a high school education. Mistakes are made.

Relax and let it go. Minimum wage only buys you so much intelligence.

Geeeezzz...I hope you don't expect the same sort of perfection from your children. Mistakes happen. I could see you complaining if they didn't refund your money, but they did! I guess you NEVER make any mistakes!

When I first read this, I was envisioning an 8ish kid. 10th grader?? Give me a break.
In a perfect world you wouldn't be paying your 10th grader for B's :bigwhoop:
So did your "poor kid" that can't even read a receipt or add to see that something was wrong drive herself to Walgreens or does she still (hopefully) have another year before we have to see her on the road?

In a perfect world, would your daughter really have to be encouraged by money to get a D to a B? No offense, but c'mon, that's like going to McDonalds, making a special order and then getting upset when they don't get it how you want it. These people don't have bachelors degrees, I'm sure.

Good Lord. I know I've mentioned this before, but I had a kid behind the counter that when I wanted to give him money to be able to get an even $10 bill back from the change and I confused the hell out of them.

That made me think of this weekend hubby and I were at a store and his credit card wouldn't swipe and he told the cashier, it never swipes anymore, you have to type it in and she said "type it in" with a WTF look on her face and she hesitated when he handed her the card like she was waiting for us to explain but we didn't she got it to swipe on her side though:killingme
