Has anyone noticed the lead local news artical on somd.com?????
They even quote some of the former posts forumites made!!!!
It also says it's to bring hundreds of jobs but none seem to be listed on it's web site......does it ever end????????
Some local citizens have weighed in on the new store in the somd.com Community Forums. A reader that goes by the name of Firebrand wrote, "I drove through the parking lot yesterday and then decided that K-Mart and Target would be the better choice!" Another reader that posts under the name Jeff agreed, writing, "I did the same. Needed dog shampoo and cigars. Did a drive through at Wal-Mart and went straight to K-Mart."
But, others feel that the low prices offered by Wal-Mart are worth the hassle of dealing with a big parking lot and long lines. "I spent like an hour and a half in there yesterday, but the prices are great," noted Forum reader BS Gal. "I'll go again, just not on a Saturday."

Wal-Marts do come with a price but most of us want to live close to one. Not only are the prices cheap but some of the stores provide cheap entertainment. I vistit one of the Wal-Marts in Glen Burnie from time to time. There's nothing like getting a sub at the SubWay,sitting there in the store and watching all of the Glentuckians walk in. Most of the women look like they've spent too much time in the sun, have two or more tattoos and waddle like a duck. A lot of them look like they are extras in one of the "Living Dead" movies. Most of them are obviously not there to buy hair combs or make up. Wal-Marts can be a good thing. It just depends on what you make of it. As an employee, it would suck. Ask Geek. As a customer, it's not that bad.
Do you work for the AFL-CIO?

I don't like that one bit.
You do remember all the little people, right?
You do remember all the little people, right?
I ventured in there once, right before the grand opening. I wore a garland of garlic around my neck, but I still had to flee at my earliest convenience.
I am not a little people, I am just short.

My first show will be entitled: "The short people do Walmart." You need to bring a dog and a motorcycle.
