Has anyone ever stayed at the Beach Resort, Yacht Club or Boardwalk inn at
Walt Disney World? I am looking for some info on which one is better.

In My Opinion
have you tried doing the google thing and looking at them from the sky?
I do this for new campgrounds just to get an idea of what Im getting into.

not real thrilled with the campground that we will be doing in the petrified forest area, but I suppose you can expect too much when camping in the desert.

My wife and I stayed at the Yacht Club in 2005 for 6 nights. We did like the proximity to Epcot and Disney MGM (now I believe just Disney Studios). Epcot being much closer for walking than MGM. A boat will take you to MGM. Yacht Club and Beach Resort are next to each other and share the same pool, while Boardwalk is across the lake. As I recall, the three hotels face each other across the water, but are all connected by the circular walking path around the lake.

We loved the pool and the sand on the bottom. The pool has its own current and you can sit in a tube and float around being pushed by the currents. We always like the endless refillable mugs you can buy when staying at any resort, but at that time the Yacht Club refilling "station" was only located at the Beach Resort. To get my morning coffee I had walk the full length of the Yacht Club, into the adjoining Beach Resort, and then into their storefront. Not a terrible walk, but definitely not anything like when we stayed at Wilderness Lodge two years prior. Their refilling station was right on the ground floor located right where you'd get breakfast anyway.

In hindsight, the Yacht Club had more of a "I'm at a hotel" feel than our other stays at Wilderness Lodge ('03) and Animal Kingdom Lodge ('06). Those resorts were more of an experience than just an overnight stay and you didn't mind actually hanging out at the resort experiencing what they had to offer. Neither are your choices, so I'll just leave it at that.

Based on our trips through the Beach Resort for refills, our stay at the Yacht Club, and a visit to the Boardwalk to "check it out", we agreed that if we were to stay in that area again in the future, we'd choose Boardwalk.

I agree with Elle. All Ears is a great web site for reviews.

Oh and I forgot to mention that the food at Yacht Club and Beach Resort are fantastic. Everything has a New England/Cape Cod feel to it from the buffet to morning breakfast. If I remember correctly, the evening buffet had steamed clams on the menu and was very seafood oriented. The Steakhouse located on premises is an expensive, but tasty treat.
