Want new cell phone

I currently have the LG Chocolate 8550 phone and can't stand it. Went to verizon yesterday and said that i can't upgrade till August next year...if I want a new one...I need to pay full price. $300 is a lot of money for a new phone. So, i went to ebay and checked around. The prices there are still a bit expensive. Does anyone know of another website or store where i can just get the phone and take to verizon to switch over my number that's a little bit cheaper in price? TIA

I just got a letter in the mail offering $100 off the price of a new phone, if your a exist customer and are not eligible for an upgrade. Might want to call and ask about that...

It would be cheaper to cancel your contract.. I think it's a $175 early termination fee.. then turn around open a new contract and get the same phone for $49.

Can't do that. I have the family plan with 3 other phones on the plan.

I just upgraded my phone earlier than the my current 2 yr. contract time was up with verizon wireless. I got an offer in email and when I called, the deal was much better. There was no problem, no fees, no penalties :shrug: Call them, stay out of the store.

:neener: I've been eligible for a new phone for quite some time. I just haven't yet found one that I like enough to commit to.

I actually like some functions of my phone (the PDA, the calendar, the contacts list, etc.). But as a phone, it is horrible. Oh, and I hate having to calibrate the screen every time I use it.

What kind of phone do you have? If you have it, then I want one just like it. :diva:
