PGPD Effort to Prevent Thefts from Vehicles

Finally, we’d like to again stress one of our department’s top priorities – preventing the thefts from vehicles we just told you about in the case above. Several times during the week, our department pushes out reminders to our residents about locking car doors and removing any and all valuables from inside. We are down in the number of reported thefts from autos this year by 14-percent – but our goal is to cut that number even more. We shared these two photos with our community in the last week – to remind residents that criminals will bust windows to get what they want from inside. In these cases, perfume, sunglasses and tools were taken. So please remember and share this message- lock your vehicle’s doors and always take valuables with you when you go.
