I just signed up for the Warrior Dash in May at Budds Creek. Anyone do it last year? Any pointers for getting ready? TIA.

I did it last year and am signed up again for this year. Cardio and strength training for your upper body is helpful.

I think you're going to be really surprised by how easy it is. We had people on our team that hadn't done any training or running and they didn't have any problems with it. My recommendation is to wear something that covers your skin. There's a lot of gravel, especially on the slide down - it's just a thin tarp over a dirt bike hill. I guarentee those girls in bikinis were hurting after the race.

Could you try mountain climbers/burpees? Do some suicides and after each one, end it with a push up, crunch, sit up or burpee.

I still cant do a real pushup :cds: I have to use a body bar balanced on the bosu for extra incline. Personal goal is 10 "real" pushups and 3 unassisted chin ups. such meager goals..:killingme

All you need to do is cardio. Strength training is not required for the warrior dash.
