Okay... let me try again.Well since this thread is all about me, and not about tornado's or terrorist attacks.. I guess I can't answer.
Though I will say there are flaws in your logic.
I live within walking/running distance of a jail. A few years back one early evening a criminal escaped from the jail and the police were on a manhunt for him. When we were alerted of this event, hubby had been working in the garden. Son and I had been doing yard work. We immediately secured our area. We closed and locked the garage. We locked all vehicles. We all went into the house and locked all doors and then turned on the alarm system. We then went about our business indoors, but still on alert.
A few hours later it was announced that they apprehended the man. We then went back to our normal routine.
This was the 2nd time in the 20 plus years we've lived here that we've had to do that... and should the circumstances arise again... we would handle it the same way. I'm sure statistically speaking we could very well expect to go our entire lives without ever having an escaped convict steal or vehicle, invade our garage for weapons/hideout area or break into our home to hold us hostage, but under such threat we take precautions just the same.
