My 15 yr old who just became eligible for her learners permit on the 3rd just called in the grades from her report card. Deal was all grades must be C or better. 4 A's & 3 B's with a 3.5 gpa. I am so proud. So everyone watch out if she passes the exam she'll soon be behind the wheel.

Are you going to teach her the Southern Maryland driving regulations?

1) On multiple lane highways, drive in the left lane and pass on the right.

2) Always tailgate if you can.

3) Look for any chance to cut someone off.

4) Always wait until the last minute before you pull out in front of someone. That way they rearend you and it's their fault.

5) Pull out in front of all motorcycles so you can watch them slide all over the road in your rear view mirror.

6) Use your cell phone whenever possible to distract you from the chore of driving.

Brings back memories of my oldest. He didn't have a 3.5 gpa but he was going to drive. Let him drive on 301 north, open dual lanes, going to N.J. We'd go between 40mph and 70mph, up and down. After a half hour I couldn't take it anymore. He ended up driving for J.B. Hunt and traveling the U.S. from end to end. Best of luck and hope she stays safe.

I had the same situation a while back with my youngest (17 now)....I wanted good grades....He wanted license....I wanted good grades..He wanted to race his quad....He's on the honor roll and he has both...Came home today with a certificate saying that he is on the honor roll....It amazes me what they can do when something is at stake... Make sure to tell her how proud you are....

That is great. My son could get his learners next month but because of his grades he won't be. If he brings them up we will change our mind.

Um, excuse me, I'll be a newbie on a motorcycle. Try to keep him off the road at least for six months....
