I thought it was good, but sadly I'm a longtime fan of the comic books from the 80's. The conic book were better - but I really enjoyed the movie. Be warned - it is about 2:45 long - and that'd after they cut out a lot of the book.


I noticed a lot people brought their kids to it. It has an "R" rating for very real reasons: extreme violence, a rape scene, and the blue guy (Dr. Msnhasttan) is nude and his junk is hanging out in all it's catoony blueness the whole movie.

I've read mixed reviews and talked to people who have seen it. Either they like it or hated ir or were confused by it.

Keep the kiddies away, it is not Spider-Man or the Fantastic Four.

It is verry well made and Silk Spectre II in her latex costume is worth the price of admission.

I believe an animated version of "Tales of the Black Freighter" is being released on DVD. Features Leonidas!

I just saw this here.

I thought it was fantastic! Definately a love it or hate it movie though. I actually saw some people get up and leave during the film, but when it was over I overheard a number of people saying how great it was.

Ive never read the comic but now I'm interested in it. Im gonna have to look for the DVD that will be out soon too.

Silk Spectre was worth the price of admission for sure!

And yeah, lots of sex scenes and other stuff...not a movie for kids. They wouldn't have understood it either. Lots of subtle things. You had to think and pay attention. I'm sure plenty of people left the movie wondering wtf happened, especially at the very end

It was an interesting film that's a must for comic book fans. I really enjoyed the action, especially on blueray.

The only thing I disliked was the big blue guy slong. Couldn't they tuck that somewhere?

Not and stay true to the novel, its part of showing how he's separated himself from humanity, that our conventions are not a thing he even thinks about. NOt that he's so powerful he thinks about them and ignores them, but its like that ant I dont even notice as I walk along. Ive got more important things to think about.

I enjoyed the movie, and the book.
