Wax and Carpet

Blah.. Blah...Blah
Anyone have any ideas about how to get dry candle wax up from a carpet? My son knocked my candle warmer over and it spilled on my carpet. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Lay a news paper over it, iron the paper with warm iron. The paper will absorb the wax.

I've heard the same, but with a dryer sheet. Lay a dryer sheet over the wax and place towel on top of the dryer sheet. Iron away.

If you don't have enough paper between the wax and iron, you won't have anything for the wax to soak into.

I would have figured just the opposite.. if heat makes it soak into the paper, wouldn't it make is soak into the carpet even more?

I would have thought ice/ cold, then just pick it off the carpet fibers..

I've done it before. It works. Didn't even leave a stain.
