Ways to Meet Folks

DH and I just moved here a month ago. We're recently married, no children yet, easy-going, working professionals (although we don't always act it), 36 and 40, looking to meet some folks and wondering of any suggestions. We are already seeking out some opportunities but there aren't as many options as there was in DC where we came from. Any suggestions? Trying to jump start some social life. Thanks in advance.

join a bowling team. Watch the paper for things happening in your area. Bake pies & cookies for the local firefighters....they always appreciate that stuff. Join a church. Go out to the clubs & bars for some dancing.
