Canada‘s truck drivers shut down cities and borders a couple years ago in protest. This is not the 1st time farmers in Europe have shut down cities. Other than a view small highway shutdowns from BLM, when was the last time WE shutdown anything major in this country? I will ask again - what will it take for us to rise up and make our voices heard?
I remember our last major protest in this country in 1979 when tractors descended upon the National Mall. They didn’t necessarily shut the city down but they did have the attention of the media for weeks. I was only 11 years old so I didn‘t participate, but I plan on being at the next one. Hell, I may start planning and organizing the next one myself.
Am I missing any other major protests in recent memory in this country that disrupted life for more than a day or 2?
