“Today we stand united in support of our great City of Baltimore,” Mayor Jack Young said at the press conference. “It is completely unacceptable, for the President of the United States of America, to use his considerable power and global voice to attack a vibrant, American city.”

Council President Brandon Scott released a statement on Saturday, saying, “because we are Baltimore, we won’t be discouraged.”

Mayor Jack Young. How long has he been Mayor now ? A couple of weeks?
And why is he now Mayor.
Because the last one was corrupt and she replaced the previous one who was corrupt.
And Nancy Dalesandro Pelosi ex- Baltimorean who is into politics because her corrupt and mafia connected daddy was corrupt.
Let's don't forget M.O.M.

Prison guards having sex with prisoners, corrupt cops,murders,riots etc.
Baltimore is not a city that should get on it's high horse about the truth being told.
And Elijah Cummings who's wife is under investigation for corruption is not one who should be tossing rocks at the President.

Naturally all you "Patriots" understand that a Congressman is a representative from his/her district, right?

You all understand that a Congressional representative has absolutely zero political authority in his/her district?

Which means he/she has no ability to write, vote on or enforce local ordinances. You all know this, right?

And, of course, you all have looked up the Congressman's district to see what areas of the state he actually represents, right?

They all add their own little spending parts in large bills. They also do this by saying, you want my vote, you need to give me something to take back home.

Of course you, the epitomal "America-hater", understand you are completely full of ####. A representative has influence over local governments: "You want federal funding, do what I say".

But, why quibble with simple words like "representative government" because it doesn't conform to your communist thinking.

Harm-Shitty had 35 homicides in the past 30 days, the deputy police commissioner got robbed at gunpoint and a police dept civilian was victim to the knockout game.

I think the president, for all his warts, was rather benign when he described Rep. Cummings district.

Actually, I do know what area he represents. I live in his district. I happen to be in a part of his district that resides outside of Baltimore city and has been gerrymandered into what his district is. Mainly because it was convenient to put our area into his city district knowing full well that our area would probably be less inclined to support him, but would not offset the others who would support him. He has done nothing for our district. I can't speak to anything he has done for the parts of his district that are in Baltimore city, I just know he has never even cared to make an appearance in our part of his district. What Trump tweeted was insensitive, insulting and not very presidential. What it was also is very correct regarding some of the neighborhoods that Cummings represents. Maybe what Trump tweeted could be taken as racist given some of his other recent twitter attacks, but Cummings wife, who is the chair of the Maryland Democratic party also accused the Maryland governor Larry Hogan as being a racist who is aiding Donald Trump. A ridiculous charge given that Hogan has criticized Trump on many occasions. She has never given an apology for her statements, or even an explanation for them. Cummings doesn't seem to care about that. All he cares about is getting Trump. Maybe he will get him in the end. And maybe it would be nice for him and the rest of congress to worry as much about passing some legislation that might actually benefit their districts and the American people.
