We are in a serious drought.

We need 2 or 3 days oof steady rain. These showers they predict just aren't getting the job done. I am watering my garden----in April.
The grass should be growing so fast it needs cutting twice a week and instead it is dying and turning brown.
My sister told me to be careful watering my garden because of the drought, and I informed her that with the Marijuana growers on the same aquifer with me it isn't up to me to be careful, they are using thousands of gallons a day, it won't be me sucking the aquifer dry.

Calling for rain here today and tomorrow. We'll see. Weather systems coming over the mountains have a nasty habit of splitting in two. Half moving north into PA and the other south into WV.

I know, it i unbelievable, not to mention the temperature swings. We had temps up near the 90's for several days in early April. Then the day after I plant my garden, we get low swings down into freezing territory. The weatherman promised rain last Wednesday and I got a few drops. Then supposedly on Friday and a few more drips. Supposed to be 90% today and pretty much nada so far. I've lost a lot of trees and shrubs over the past decade due to these unusual temperatures and periods of drought.

Do you remember how the sun used to be golden-colored back when we were wee ones. Now, its always hazy grey.

True. Don't forget to put water out for the birds. However, expect other animals to access the water too. Deer and squirrels are likely the main ones that can get to it. The lower level water feeders are usually rabbits and other animals.

You should see it down here in Florida. All the lakes & ponds are ringed with a mud bank.

In Texas, Lake Corpus Christi has almost ceased to exist.

The sidewalk was barely wet this morning, now it's 3 PM and nothing more., and I look at my neighbors yard and it's turning brown when it should be a lush green.

I had .23" of rain yesterday evening from the t-storm that rolled thru. Need much more than that to get the field corn out of the ground that I planted yesterday. It's been awhile since we've had an April this dry.

Typically I would be cutting the grass every 5-6 days this time of year (from mid march to now)..have only cut my grass twice and the 2nd time really could have skipped for a week. Yard is pretty dead looking right now.

Yeah but if they stop watering everything goes to pot!

Ummm, just curious, what happened to the cloud seeding and other weather manipulation the left was ranting about? Damn Trump has now put an embargo on rain! He is trying to get the illegal vegetable pickers to go home by ensuring there are no crops to pick. Genius!

The last time I remember it being this bad was when I first moved here in June/July '94. It was hot as hades and the front yard was just brown and crispy.
