I believe that probably means that as long as Biden remains in office Taiwan is on it's own and Biden is just hoping Xi won't move to take it.
I doubt we would do anything drastic to run China off. If it's coming it must come before November.

Well, between the earthquake and China's sabre rattling I would think that the powers to be would come to their senses and start on shoring the production of chips. I doubt China will want to destroy everything on Taiwan as it will be valuable to them but we are already dependent on those devils for too much.
