Wedding Venues

I am trying to help a friend find a place where she can have both her wedding and the reception (Indoor) at the same place, but we are having more trouble than we anticipated. Any considerations would be greatly appreciated. We are starting from the northern part of Calvert County up.

I assume since they are looking for a wedding venue as well as reception, that all church/church hall combinations are not feasible?

Running Hare Winery in Prince Frederick has a brand new facility...it's beautiful.

The facility at Running Hare is very nice but be prepared to spend Big bucks.
To rent the facility will run you $5000.00 You are required to buy a couple of cases of their wine (no big deal) but you can only use Maryland Country caterters. The cost of the caterer will put you in the poorhouse. They will charge you 3-5 times what other caterers would cost. We wanted to use Running Hare next year but the cost of the catering chased us away quick. We'll be going to Mary's Hope.

If you are willing to travel, a little towards the Bowie/Mitchellville area close to FedEx Field....my wife and I got married here Newton White Mansion we couldn't of been happier!!

They book about a year in advance though, or did when we got married, but its best to call or go by and at least check it out! We looked at many locations and when we saw this place...we just knew

Middleton Hall is nice also. You can use one room for the wedding and another for the reception. They have three different size rooms so you can chose what size you need for each. Middleton Hall

My cousin got married and had the reception at Bowles Farm in Clements. Another place is Hollywood Fire house.
