Weekend plans? I'm going to look at dead people.

Coroner's Convention? That's what it looks like. Always liked CSI when they disect the body and figure out what killed the victim.

I think this is going to be SO cool!

This is Wenchy's daughter, and I went to The Franklin Institute to see BodyWorlds. It was very, very cool! The bodies (I feel) were treated in a very respectful manner.

They even have a section with a pregnant woman with a baby inside her, and a bunch of fetuses in the different stages of pregnancy. It is really sad/morbid, but I had to see it, just to see it all.

You'll have a good time. But don't see the Imax film. It was a waste of time/money.

This thing was SOOOoo friggin cool. It is not morbid or gross. And this is coming from someone that can't stand to watch surgeries on TV.

It was nothing short of fascinating. They didn't have any of the exhibits behind chains or glass, so you could look as close as you wanted to, as long as you didn't touch.

Each exhibit is in a different pose and cut in different areas exposing different things such as nerves, organs, muscles, bones... I was extremely impressed. They had a basketball player, a hurdeler (sp?), dancers, an archer, etc, and a dude that had been sliced width wise in 2" thick slices complete with skin and tattoos! THAT was friggin cool!

They don't tell you who these people were or how they died, so some folks might have that question, but I think that would add a personal aspect to it, and might be upsetting to some people.

HIGHLY recommended, even for kids. There were alot of kids there, and I didn't here any giggling (at many exposed peckers and vaginers), nor did I hear any "Ew gross!". It is extremely well done, and very informative.

I bought the book for the exhibit, as well as a bag of eyeballs :lmao: so if I ever see any of ya's again , and ya wanna check it out, lemme know.

I'd love to see it. Stuff like that fascinates me. I'll let you borrow my book called "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers." It is QUITE the read. :lmao:

I'd like to see it too. Also, I think there is one of those medical oddities types of museums up at Bethesda Hospital, I'd like to see that as well.
