Weird Boxer Behavior

Catt, maybe you can help.

Big boy doggy is very lovable all the time. When you tell him to "go lay down" he does. He doesn't bother you anymore. But last night he couldn't stop sniffing me and he kept coming up to me, putting his head on my lap. Last night he was super-affectionate and it was only towards me; not day or the girls.

We didn't go anywhere where there were animals last night. I threw on a pair of workout pants that I just wear around the house. I'm thinking maybe I didn't wash them when I last wore them, and possibly I was around another animal. I'm not menstruating (not sure if they can sense it anyhow).

Any clues?

Some animals can sense when you're pregnant.

My Sweetest Boy

Probably the stinky sweats.

Buster was acting oddly last night. He was very nervous. Finally during the last few minutes of the movie Ott and I were watching he :barf: all over the floor. :ohwell: I guess Abbey felt left out because she did the same thing at 1:30 this morning in her crate. :dead:

Oh yeah, :yay: that you are not OTR. Thanks for that.

Meaning I smelled bad? He never does that after I come home from the gym.

My pup was doing similar stuff yesterday too. I think it was just because I was home all weekend and she got spoiled being able to be around me much more than usual, then getting stuffed back in her cage yesterday while I was at work.

On another note, my co-worker Steve, has a dog that would be EXTRA affectionate to his live-in g/f twice a month. And I'll leave it at that. He just always seemed to know. Dogs have extra sensative noses as you know, and hormones do things to our bodies and do make some folks smell differently at different times, even though it may be undetectible to the human nose.

Also, as Catt pointed out, could be your pup just wasn't feeling well or maybe he senses that YOU are getting sick. I hope that that is not the case.

Boxers are very sensitive. Maybe something was bothering him and he just wanted his mommy.
Mine decided to pull both pairs of my flip flops up onto the couch with him while I was away at work yesterday. Didnt chew on them or anything. I guess he just wanted to have my smelly feet by him while he layed around waiting for me to get home :lmao:
