Super Genius
I have IE 7 because there are some sites that just don't work right on Firefox. However, it's not connecting to the internet any more. Here's a brief history of what happened:
I tried connecting my work laptop to my home network and it did something to completely hose my network (IE worked before this happened).
I got the network back up by using the cable modem software to re-detect the cable modem.
Network Diagnostics is telling me that there is a problem with the Winsock provider catalog. I tell it to fix the problem, but it (obviously) doesn't fix the problem.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling IE 7 and have the same problem.
Everything else on the computer has no problem connecting to the internet.
Any ideas?
