Welcome to EvieAlo!
This is a site dedicated to the many wonderful individuals who devote their lives to helping the needy animals of our world. This is a site dedicated to the many small rescues and shelters who struggle every day to make a difference for this great cause. This is a site dedicated to you. Why the name you ask? Well, Evie is the name of my latest rescue and companion, and it means “New Life.” Alo means cherish, sustain, support and keep...and I thought that the two together would have special meaning. After all, meaning is why we are all here right!
So, what makes this site special? Well, hopefully because it is a place where all those who are involved in the animal welfare world can come together to work together. Here you will find the Community Paws Forum; an area where you can trade items with those near or far to help better your quest in taking care of your animals. As a member of the Community Paws community you will also be recognized to receive donations! Here you will find one-of-a-kind fundraising items to help you promote your work and save more animals. Here you will find an Activities section where Humane Educators and parents alike can keep their children busy while teaching them how to respect animals.
You will also find a unique book especially about those in the field so others can learn from your plight. Here you will find a place to give thanks to those who help you with your cause, and so much more. On EvieAlo you will be a part of a special group of people whose goal is to make a difference in this world, and given a chance, to make the global community stronger.
"The display of compassion is not the sign of a weak heart,
but the sign of a strong soul. Through the eyes of the weaker
creature is the tunnel to your soul!" Unknown
Q & A with Romy
1. How did you learn about the stray/needy animal population and what made you want to help?
Well, when someone comes to you and says that the trash men are coming and there is a litter of newborns and their mother about to be dumped in the truck…
