Senator McConnell says tariffs hurt, urges trade progress

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell on Wednesday prodded President Donald Trump’s administration to quickly resolve festering trade disputes particularly with China, saying tariffs imposed by other countries in response to Trump’s trade policies are starting to pinch the “red hot” U.S. economy.

"Red hot"? Only in the minds of people like Stephen Moore and Larry Kudlow.

Are tariffs hurting? Not in any major economic way, yet. They are hurting red state voters more than anyone else at present. Trump doesn't understand this, but Mitch does.

But our inept, incompetent and unfit President thinks we should have more tariffs!
