In most places, calling someone a nimrod might earn you a cold stare or a fat lip. Not in Watersmeet, a rural township of 1,500 in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where Nimrods is a badge of honour.

Does anyone know if Cheers (as mentioned in the article) was how Nimrod became a bad name? It is pretty strange considering that the Bible calls Nimrod one of God's greatest warriors. Of course, not many people know that. There's also a British aircraft named the Nimrod. I guess the name went bad some time after that...
