From the good old St. Mary's Today. Something to sink your teeth into.

I wonder what was so important that she had to got out and leave these little ones alone.

CALIFORNIA --- St. Mary's Sheriff's officers report that on May 15, 2008 SDFC. Elizabeth Trossbach responded to Red Oak Court California, Maryland for a report of three young children left unattended in a residence. Neighbors had complained a small child, approximately 4 to 5 years old was wandering about the neighborhood unattended. Further investigation revealed a total of three small children all under the ages of 8 years old were left in the residence unattended by adult supervision.

Crystal Dawn Knott is the woman who left them alone, anyone know of her. Wonder how many people will be on here defending her and saying what a wonderful person she is and how she must have had a great reason to leave these children alone.:faint:

She is on probation for marijuana and cocaine possession. Case #6Q00037533, Maryland Judicial Case Search Source. Appears she was charged and released with no bond and a court date on this new offense. :shakeshead: But I bet she was trying to change her life. :wah:

Change her life and go make a drug deal at the same time. And I was giving her the benefit of the doubt and thought, gee maybe she had to go buy diapers or groceries. My bad.:doh:I so hate when I'm wrong.

Who knows why she left them, not enough details in the article on the St. Mary's Today website or the somd article, but seeing her current probation and what it is for, doesn't make her look good in the court of public opinion.

Maybe it was just a booty call.

I'm sorry I said those things, but there is no emergency that would have made that woman leave 3 small children alone. Even if she was taken by ambualance, the people responding would not have left those 3 little ones alone. It just burns me up.

:yay:I really don't think there is a defense. What woman in her right mind, and I stress right mind would leave those children alone?

I had something similar happen not too long ago with our neighbors down the street. Their 6 and 8 yr. old boys got off the bus around 3:30 with my son and there was no one home for them so they came over to my house and stayed till about 5. Then they went to see if anyone was home and no one was there still so they started back over here and their Aunt showed up and took them home with her. This is not the first time I have had to call the police on this family. I have also called protective services. Sadly to this day I don't think the county has done a da*& thing to help these kids. There is 5 of them in the house and they can go months at a time without water or electric. It pitiful! :frown:

She was at the dentist and left the 5 year old in charge. The not so funny thing is when the grandmother was found and asked for one of the kids names, she said I don't known. So then they asked for a father's name they got the same answer

I'm sorry but the dentist is not emergency enough to warrant leaving 3 small children alone. She should have been able to arrange for someone to watch them. Her stupidity. I have no pity for her and believe she deserves what she gets, unfortunately, it will probably be a slap on the wrist.

Pretty pathetic, DSS usually steps in with a situation like that.

Oh no, the first time I reported these kids not having electric or water it was last summer during the hottest time. The woman at social services said to me and I quote "It's called poverty, it's not illegal to be poor!" and she said it with a very NASTY attitude with it. She was probably thinking "rich white woman stickin her nose where it ought not to be!" That's the kind of attitude I heard in that statement. Pissed me right off! I said I know what poverty is, believe me I've been there but my mother would sweat blood before she would have let us kids go without baths and food for as long as these kids have!

Still they did nothing to remedy the situation because these kids have been filling up their water jugs from my water hose for months and stealing electricity from their neighbors. This also happens to be a section 8 home. We knew when the owner of the home went and turned it into a section 8 that this kind of people would move in. It almost never fails. A lot of us on this street have owned our homes here for years and it WAS a peaceful street. Now we are scared of what might happen when THEY get into arguements on the weekends and there is cops down there every other day and so on. I just wish they would LEAVE!

Yeah and her teeth are probably rotting out from her drug abuse. Isn't there a drug they use or something, like heroin, (don't know never done it) that makes your teeth rot out.

I promise you we the tax payers are paying to get her teeth fixed too!

Did you call the Health Department? That's the next step if DSS doesn't work.

No, never thought of that route! I will definitely keep it in mind. Believe it or not, the officer that was here the last time said that the children going that long without water was borderline neglect! Can you believe that?!?!?!? Blows my mind! I guess, God forbid, one of the kids has to die before they will do anything.
