What Do I DO

Have you had her to the vet? Figure out which tendon is torn & how severe. My gelding tore is right front suspenitory(sp?) over a year and a half ago. He needed stall rest 24/7 for 6 weeks then I could start hand walking him and then after a month or so I could get on him and walk him under saddle. But when my gelding tore his I took him to a specialist and had the tear injected with something called a PRP injection to help speed the recovery. I actually ended up letting him go into a small paddock for a year and let him heal because I was to busy with my new mare.

There are many different options available for tendons so you need to do you research and see what is best for your mare. you can still work with her on the ground and bond with her while she is resting
