what do you do all day

I'm kinda curious because I find myself wondering if I have no life, or what. I don't think I spend an inordinate amount of time of the forums, but sometimes I'm on more than others.
So, I'm a stay at home mom, and I shoot over to the computer when I have a minute here or a minute there.
My favorite forum is religion as God permeates my life, but I've jumped over to the news forums periodically.
Are you all online from work, or are you at home, too?

I'm a stay at home mom as well. I work seasonally, but only twice a year, for a few weeks.
Sometimes, I get online around lunchtime, and find myself jumping up, to throw something in the oven for dinner...realizing, I have been online all day.

Here's a story:

My Mom calls me and says, what are you doing? I say I'm Wiki-ing (whatever it was). She exclaims, "OMG! You need to get off that computer and get a life! I can't believe you sit on that computer all day long!!!" (Never mind that it's my job.).

So, in the middle of her fussing at me, she starts laughing and says, "Look, Dad! BWA-ha-ha-ha!" I say, what are you laughing at? And she replies that something is going on on the TV that was really funny and blah blah blah.

SO:

Some folks sit in front of the idiot box watching Oprah, soaps and sitcoms. Other folks surf the 'net.

Why is one better than the other?

You know that is exactly what I told my mom. She fusses at me constantly for being on the computer. Where as if I call her at a certain time during the day when one of her shows are on GOD FORBID!! There is no difference. If your a stay at home mom, as long as your getting your laundry and other stuff done in between who cares if your on all day. It makes me laugh to read about Bcp's adventures and Vrai and her kitties, and Catt and her love for boxers. I like being on here, its better then being glued to something that I can't interact with!

I used to  all night long.:otter: :dead:

Then I used to work all night behind a bar, tending to drunks and miscreants and listening to sob stories, varied and similar at the same time.

Now, I spend much of my time at home and some time at work reading somd.com between my regular internet wanderings and waiting to talk to my guy friend or visit with him. I have hobbies such as my cemetery fetish and my art and what-not that entertain me and keep me from being one of those drunk miscreants. I have learned a bit about a lot of things from sitting long hours online.

I'd like to think I took a step up.

In My Opinion
I get up at 4:30, go down and work out till 5:30, then I do a six mile run.
7 to 7:30 is shower and stuff,
then I drink coffee and play on the net for a bit.
8:15 to 9 Whenever I drive to work.

once here I get things going then play on the internet.

2:30, Im bored so I leave and go home. Sometimes I stop at the Gym and do a few sets.
4:00, another 6 miles at the park.
5:30 eat a light dinner.

then play on the net till 8. 8 to 9 another couple sets in my home gym, then a half hour in the sauna with a glass of wine.

then up stairs for a shower and bed.

pretty much the same thing everyone else does.

I think the intarwebs are better than TV.

Watching TV is a passive activity during which your brain does nothing but absorb trite and meanlingless drivel, and your brain can oftentimes turn into a primordial liquid which may or may not leak from orifices in one's head.

Putzing around on the Internet may not be the most healthy activity there is, but it is an (inter)active exercise, which, more often than not, requires a bit more brain activity than can be found in a typical olive loaf.

yes, I think I remember seeing you and DR running before.
You guys are really fast, hard to keep up with, plus, you all run with those leg weights on.

Yeah, but we only do three miles. And you use those arm weights, where we just use the 10 pound leg weights.
