Anything Dodge Chysler or Plymouth is bad, stay far far away from it.
My mom just traded in her 2nd Jeep. Hated them both, along with the Dodge Spirit she had before them. Both Jeeps had transmission problems. Oh and the Shadow she had before that blew up within 6 months of buying it. She just bought a Toyota Sienna and loves it. :yay:

A Civic is not a downgrade from a Cavalier.

There ya go! :yay: That's a reliable vehicle with decent gas mileage. Honda is a well made car and holds its value well.

The Durango is certainly not a good idea. First of all, it's a dodge. Secondly, from what I understand the Durango does not hold its value at all. The second you drive them off the lot you owe alot more on it than it's worth. Apparently the market got way too flooded with them and they aren't a well enough made vehicle for them to be worth anything.

But a MUCH better car than a cavalier. Don't get me wrong, the cavalier is a decent car, but when you go see the civic, you'll understand.

Look up the crash test rating on any car you're considering (make sure you look up the correct model year, ratings differ year to year) to make sure you get the safest car you can afford. A larger vehicle won't necessarily be your best bet.

The Civic is a Honda. When it comes to cars, name brand does mean everything. Hondas are mechanically sound and hold their value better than most American cars.

It's not that it breaks down alot. What I've read in the car magazines, etc. and been told by a car dealer friend of mine is that whenever you buy one, you are immediately upside down on payments/value. It simply does not hold value at all. They flooded the market way too much. It's simply overpriced for what it is. It's an okay SUV.

I've never checked that site before. I just looked up my car and it gets 5 stars across the board except for rollover - which got 4 stars. :yay:

I have always wanted a civic but its small, mom wont agree
Civics have just as much room as a PT Cruiser, if not more. 4 door Civics have much lower insurance rates. Mom should agree to that. :yay:
