“Online, we have a lot of people from a distance who don’t really understand what they do,” Blythe said. “They think they’re taking the server’s job and taking jobs away from America when in reality, it’s just to help our servers out.”

Translation: the robots are replacing servers.

This place is right around the corner from us and it never occurred to me to eat there, but now I will just to see the robots.

I'm the person who goes to these places and gets a cheeseburger with LTMO. I don't like a bunch of stuff on my food.

They were never broke at the Peoples Drug Store lunch counter.

Just sneakin' around....
The people who have to maintain the robots will be getting paid a lot more than $15 an hour.
True, but I'm sure the restaurant will have a service contract with a repair company, so they don't pay the employee's hourly rate.

Asbury Solomons has a robot they use in the dining room. The server takes the order as usual for a table. The kitchen staff loads the order on the robot, picks which table(s) to go to, and the server goes to the table to distribute to the diners. When finished eating the staff puts empty dishes, glasses, utensils on the robot and it returns to the kitchen to be unloaded. Doesn't replace any one's job, if anything orders are delivered faster without the server making multiple trips. Pretty cool.
