I will be getting a new bike as soon as the hard to find and long to wait for M109R get's into the dealer. I will need new helmets to match the crusier ride for my wife and I. Do you have any suggestions? What to get or not get? Does Bluetooth phone and music capabilties actually work well enough to make it worthwhile?

Of course I am looking for something cool, but safety, comfort, airflow and antifogging are more important.

No, The Jet Luge Helmet is not good enough...

Thanks for your reviews ahead of time.

How much discretionary income are you willing to part with? I have a Shoei RF 1000 that I like a lot- fairly light, quiet, and comfortable full-face. They can be had for around $300 or so, maybe less if you shop around on-line. Whatever you get, I do recommend a full face. Sure, you may not look as "cool" as with a half-helmet, but if you've ever taken a yellow jacket on the chin at speed, you'll understand.

Nolan N102.. has pinlock anti fog inserts.. Flip up of course, Quiet, and comfortable on the LONG ride days.

Depending on what you want to use the bluetooth for, I'd wait. Bluetooth in helmets right now is mono only, nice for intercoms and radar detectors, but sucks for listening to music.

I have speakers in my nolan attached to an Autocomm, full stereo. Have my cell phone hooked up through a blue tooth adaptor, but do have a cable running from my helmet to under the seat.

Most dealers want over $300, AMS (Annapolis Motor Sports) can get it for around $210.

Go to Motovations and try on the Cabergs.

The flip down sun shade adds 10 coolness points
I tried my Caberg on the last sunny day we had.. I put it on my head, clicked the quick disconnect, looked right, looked left, took it back off and went back to the Nolan.

Thanks for the tips, I will look at them all, if the bike ever comes in.
I never bought a new bike and I hope to make some kind of deal on it. At $12,995 MSRP for the M109R Limited, I hope to get a good helmet, bike cover and first maintenance include for that price.(what are the odds?)

I am looking for a pair of full face helmets to answer the question above.

I race streetluge, destroyed many helmets with my head intact, and know the importance of a good full face first hand.

First maintenance is esentally an oil change an look for loose nut/bolts.
Atlantic wanted $125 for mine. Thought that was a little high for an oil change.

When a good full face helmet now sells for $400 or more (Arai is somewhere up around $800) I doubt you can convince a dealer to "Throw two in" but it NEVER hurts to ask.

My first bike the dealer threw in two Bieffe's AND crash bars, and the bike only cost $1200

Were the helmets leather?
