Scripture talks also about a generational curses

Sin can cause a series or chain events not only in one persons life but on others as well. As I stated in another post there is nothing private or personal about sin, it ALWAYS effects others and your relationships with them.

Have you dabbled in the occult? Do you know what type of demon it is?

I believe that there is a spirt world all around us but there not ghost, there demons that have knoweldge of the deciest that pass themselves off as the deceist to draw people in with courisioty. ghosts are impossible...because when one dies, they are either in heaven or hell.

I thought there is a verse in scripture but I cant put my finger on it that sayes our eyes are vailed to the spirits that walk in our midst and its for our protection but I cant find it, if anyone knows what I am refering to please post it! Its driving me nuts I cant find it!

A lot of questions but I don't know the people's spiritual situation. Yes, posessions can be quiet at times but overall they're not because of the nature of demons. Only 2 demons are named in the Bible but, actually, only one really refers to a specific being. Satan of course and Legion. What name does your friend hear? Is he/she truly saved or not. A Christian can NOT be posessed by a demon but they can be harassed by them. A family followed around by a negative force needs to get into a close relationship with God and this will stop. James 4 says resist the devil and he will flee from you, draw close to God and he will stay close to you. Tell us more about their spiritual past. What "religion/belief" do they follow?
