What happens if Joe doesn’t make it to Election Day? Does Kamala automatically get the nod or does Bernie, since he was second in the primaries, get it?

Good question.

Honestly, Democrats vote for who the media tells them to vote for. So even though Kamala couldn't even break 2% in the primaries, if Dembots are told to rally around her that's what they'll do.

If a candidate dies before the general election but after they've secured their party's nomination, it's a relatively simple fix: The deceased candidate's party picks a replacement (who may or may not be the vice presidential candidate from the ticket), and that replacement is on the ballot on Election Day. Each Party has their own rules on the matter.

I assume they have some arcaine process for getting on the ballot in most states, which you wouldn't go through unless you were the presumptive nominee. If Biden bowed out at this point i'm not sure they could get a replacement on the ballot as president. Might be a Kamala-Bernie ticket.

The Democratic National Committee has a clear rule for this situation. The 447 members of the Democratic National Committee, the entity that formally hosts the convention, would choose the new nominee. The DNC chair is required to consult with the Democratic leadership in Congress and with the Democratic Governors Association. After the consultation, the chair provides a report to the DNC members, who then make the choice.

We all know, no matter what, if anything happens to Joe or Trump, Nancy automatically becomes President..

BUT just tell them Joe is still alive and it's a right wing conspiracy to get them to vote for somebody else.. they'll all write in Joe's name..

The question is if doesn't make to inauguration if he wins the general.
Per Wiki:
The words president elect appear four times in the Constitution, and they didn't appear until 1933, when the Twentieth Amendment, which contained a provision addressing the unavailability of the president elect to take the oath of office on Inauguration Day, was ratified.[1] Section 3 provides that if there is no president-elect on January 20, or the president-elect "fails to qualify", the vice president-elect would become acting president on January 20 until there is a qualified president. The section also provides that if the president-elect dies before noon on January 20, the vice president-elect becomes president. In cases where there is no president-elect or vice president-elect, the amendment also gives the Congress the authority to declare an acting president until such time as there is a president or vice president. At this point the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 would apply, with the office of the Presidency going to the speaker of the House of Representatives, followed by the president pro tempore of the Senate and various Cabinet officers.

I was trying to find the definition of president elect. Does it mean the general election or the electoral college vote?
Under the 12th, if no one obtains a majority of electoral votes, it states it goes to the house and they must select from the top three who received electoral presidential votes. Does a dead person qualify?

Given that the general Presidential election is for the selection of electors, then the President is "elected" by those electors I would say that it is after the electoral college votes.
