Hmmm, about 1/2 an hour ago, told me a lady was standing in the median. Just checked, still there, in the median on the north side of the intersection, just standing there looking south consistently. My guess, she has clickers in her pockets, and she is counting cars for a traffic survey, maybe in support of the upcoming RLCs.

She is a cop, she is calling out the red light runners and those who block the intersection to other cops so that they can be ticketed once on base. this is the second day.

Fantastic!!!!!!! Now move that around a little, so that people never know where it might be happening. Willows was blocked by two idiots this am when I came through.

And it needs to be publicized that they are doing this. Maybe get an Enterprise reporter there to get some quick interviews with folks who have been popped?

I wonder if that cop that blocked the intersection this morning will be ticketed.

Not beforehand, silly:) But after the fact. With the statement that it WILL be happening again at random intervals. Do this on an irregular basis, and you do deterrence. Nice thing, an officer issuing a red light ticket, that's a real deterrence. Two points, that will wake you up. not sure of the fine, but it has to be higher than $75 bucks.

They're just going where the complaints have been. As we all know, that intersection is notorious. :yay:

If people know they are doing it, hopefully they will stop it. I understand what you are saying, make the idiots pay when they do it...but that doesn't stop them from blocking you in..probably at an intersection that doesn't have someone there.....if people know they are busting people for that, they might think twice before pulling out and blocking any intersection....

Looks like an officer citing for a red light gives out a $140 dollar ticket. $180 if it contributed to a crash.

Back down GMR a couple of lights, those are also. And I'm sure Gate 1 gets it to. Another great place for "Impeding the flow of traffic would be on 235 SB, just south of the intersection with Shangri-La. People trying to squeeze into the turn lanes block the SB lanes every morning, its a constant symphony of horns. Folks wanting to go south have to stop and wait, hear tires locking up quite often.
