I look forward to talking to my cousin this weekend about all of this going on in Denmark, She and her children come over for a family wedding. She and her kids have dual citizenship and she's been wanting to move here to the States.

Norway is my second home....oldest son lives in Stavanger these days. Their take on the misguided liberal kissing of the Muslim world and accepting refugees is .....interesting.

Yikes! One of our neighbor families are being transferred to Belgium by the hub’s company; a pharmaceutical. Just sold their house. The street Bon Voyage party for them is June 2; then they leave. I wish them the best.

Like France (Algeria, etc.) the issues in Belgium (the Congo, etc.) long precede current events.

My meaning is that Belgium never solved integration of immigrants from its former African possessions (Wave 1) so it has been ill-prepared to deal with the Muslim presence (Wave 2). I suspect some of the inability to deal with these issues comes from the bi/tri-cultural nature of Belgium itself (historic and still-present Walloon/Flemish friction, German presence, etc.).

I don't hold out much hope for Belgium. Nor for Europe as a whole, for that matter.

Would be pleased to have someone change my mind.

Wish I could change your mind, Hope is what comes to my mind, but I know that is a stretch. Whenever I hear the word “hope”, I think of Barry Soetoro, and change. Well, that, certainly, happened, and not in a hopeful way. I am a Pollyanna; so I am not the one to change your mind. The word ‘consequences’ comes to my mind. I see Belgium and much of Europe as a part of a growing Caliphate.
My only hope is to wake up enough Americans to what is going on to stop it from happening here.
