What is "Predictive" Credit

Hubby has higher credit than me. For the past few years we have been working on building mine up, getting credit cards, accounts... all towards buying a home some day. Finally got to the point where we approached a mortage company and agent. The mortage people said that my husband has no "predictive" credit score. What is this and how in the world did this happen?

I did a google on it and understand nothing of what I found...maybe you should ask the mortgage lender you talked to to explain it.

After she told us that we have no predictive credit, we went and talked to our bank loan officer. He confirmed that she was correct. He had my hubby get a new credit card in his name, which he said should correct it. I guess I felt too stupid about the whole thing to ask more questions. Any real estate people on here that can shed some more light?

So now that the average consumer has the power to view, monitor and keep an eye on their credit score, some invisible number now becomes available to "credit professionals" that we cannot see, monitor or check?
