Hi All-

If an organization were in dire need for BIG funds, what would be the BEST option for a successful fundraiser? No gambling ideas please, but I appreciate your help!

Thanks so much!

It's very rare a fundraiser brings in lots of cash unless of course it has something to do with gambling. You could try an auction, but again, that won't bring in a lot of cash. That's a tough one.

How big of funds? And is it a non-profit?

Throw a kegger. Seriously. Get a local bar/restaurant on board, preferably one with an outdoor environment, and throw a huge party with all proceeds going to your organization. We've done several of these for Hospice and raised a good bit of money, plus had a blast doing it.

Good luck - all the non-profits are vying for the same money which is more restricted than a few years ago. The larger fundraisers are the ones that are larger due to a long history and require substantial organization and upfront $. Hope you are able to find something unique that will meet the need!

White House Xmas tree ornaments, although the ones this year are kinda' cheap looking. Our organizations in the past, had no problem selling from 200-300 for $20 each. Google it and find the address in DC where you can order them in bulk. Usually around $14 each. $6 profit isn't bad!

It is to save a school from closing.
We can have an auction. We can have four big events..to maximize the use of time. Someone suggested a golf outing. Another suggested a raffle for cash.
Our Task Force is meeting tomorrow and we have lots of support.
It's worth EVERY bit of effort to save our school. We all love it and our children learn at an accelerated pace to best prepare them for HS and college. Thus, we create students who give back to the world in a very positive way. Message me if you can donate money or materials. Thanks!

Which school?

And why would guns be out? They wouldn't be raffled to the students but to adults.. NOTHING illegal or immoral about it.

You sell tickets to a dinner and raffle, and depending on how many tickets are sold determines how many guns are raffled.

SoMD potential of HUGE returns.
