What is WITH the trash pickup here?!

Twice a week I roll my can to the curb only to come home in the afternoon and find it smack in the MIDDLE of the street, on it's side, along with everyone elses in my Culdesac....

I think so... It's like they pull all the cans into one spot in the street, back the truck up into them, kick them around a little, and leave! It's crazy!

Do you use the big green trash can they provide? I found that before they delivered my green can I got crappy service from them. I had to use my personal trash cans, and they didnt like it to much.

Yep I use their can! I won't be able to for much longer, though.. it's getting a huge crack down the side... Will they bring me a new one if they destroy this one?

Doubt it... Its your word against theirs. Guess who's they will pick.

Oh and good luck getting trash picked up in the rain. Its seems like whom ever does the great mills route never picks up trash if its raining. We complained a lot in my old development about trash pickup. Hundreds of green cans go days on the curb with no pick up.

Watch out if pick up also falls on or around a holiday. It gets worse. Last Xmas we had trash sitting on the curb for over a week

I NEVER had a problem with WMS when we lived in Mechanicsville. I had above excellent service. A few times the other half forgot to take the cans to the curb and as I was walking out the door before work the trash guy was coming up to the house to get it (it sat outside the garage).

I've never paid for trash pickup... my trash cans are never in the middle of the road.

They pick up trash and leave the container behind. How thoughtful can they be?

I've never had problems with my WMS pickup crew.

They should!! We got a new one ... it was a mix up because we didn't notice the notice they sent about how they are not taking trash in cans that aren't theirs so we had to call them and they brought us a new can. So, I'm pretty sure they will replace it for you!

I think it's ridiculous how they expect you to get all your trash in one can throughout the whole year. Yes, there are just two of us living at our house, but when we have parties and have a more than usual amount of trash I don't understand why they won't take OUR trash can. The lady said it's because they are switching in a few years to the trucks that lift up their cans and the trucks won't be able to do that with the trash cans we buy at the store. .... Ooookay, but they don't have them yet, so what's the big deal??

Other than that we haven't had any probs either.

Well when we had WM they never gave us a trashcan so we just put out or back trashbags each week and they took the tash that way. I guess you could do the same if you have too much trash for 1 can. I mean what can they say to you they are the ones who didnt give you an extra trashcan. Or when you have your parties plan to make a dump run that way you dont get a nastygram from the WM people about you leaving trash out not in there designated trashcan .
