I have been a Maryland sports fan for over 40 years so this is simply a logic question. Maryland men's basketball team loses 5 out of their final 10 games, only 1 against a ranked team, and they get a #6 seed in the tournament. the women's team loses 2 games all year, 1 to the #1 ranked Huskies, and they get a #3 seed, and in the Huskies region, WTH?

Pretty hilarious, MD Women ranked 4th by AP, 3rd by coaches but NCAA says they are a 3 seed and put them in the bracket against the #1 1 seed. So, the NCAA committee of stuffed shirts administrators believe they are the 12th best team in the country. They are the only team that gave UConn a game this year and only 1 other loss. Got to hand it to Brenda Frese after the seeding announcement, didn't whine or complain, kept a smile on her face. Class act.
