The invasion of the body snatchers (black and white version) Good choice!
Taxi Driver Again!
Night of the Living Dead (black and white) Definitely. You ever see the original The Fog? I hope they do well with the remake.
Many more to come when this philosophy paper is done.
Blockbuster always has it! I went in to rent it a few weeks ago to write an asian politics paper on it and they were out. lolFromTexas said:Anyone also seen Big Trouble in Little China? I need to show that to my kids I think. That movie was freaking hilarious.

My sons got me to watch that when they were little - what a trip!
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, looks you crooked in the eye and asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail.

I've wanted to see this Kubrick classic for a long time now. What is it about exactly?kom526 said:Clockwork Orange
kom526 said:Clockwork Orange: It is a weird flick but the gist of it is Malcolm McDowell (killed Jimmy Kirk in Star Trek: Generations) is a twenty something gang leader that gets off on "ultra-violence" (random beatings)and the "'ol in and out" (rape). He gets caught and they try a bizarre behavior modification technique that gets him physically ill when he sees violence. It is a good movie but the dialogue is tough to keep up with sometimes. It is worth watching, if just for the wardrobe...you'll see.
Most of Kubrick's films are like that, lots of hidden meaning. I still cannot find one person who know's...FromTexas said:Watching the movie is much easier than reading the book (in Cockney). It is a great film though.
You will have to watch it a few times to probably understand it.
Just a few here and there. Psycho was awesome! How about the scene where they have the unsettling talk and she goes back into her room where Norman Bates looks through his 'peep' hole. It's never a good idea to kill off what appears to be your main character but somehow Hitchcock pulls it off.FromTexas said:You seen a lot of Hitchcock?
