Damn T, did you get into someone's meth stash? Vrai's post must have triggered something! Why can't you just admit that Trump is the best president of your lifetime?

Many supporters turned off by some of his antics are still far more appalled by an emerging radical neo-socialist Democratic agenda. If the alternative to Trump is a disturbing tolerance among some Democrats for anti-Semitism, the Green New Deal, reparations, a permissive approach to abortion even very late in pregnancy, a wealth tax, a 70-90% top income tax rate, the abolition of ICE, open borders, and Medicare for all, Trump's record between 2017-20 will seem moderate and preferable. Progressives do not fully appreciate how the hysterics and media coverage of the Kavanaugh hearings, the Covington teenagers and the Jussie Smollett psychodrama turned off half the country. Such incidents and their reportage confirmed suspicions of cultural bias, media distortions, and an absence of fair play and reciprocity.

A hit! A very palpable hit.

This one paragraph may very well be the truest, smartest and most honest thing ever posted on CNN's website. EVER.

Certainly the most #relatable one I've ever read there.

Where are these Trump supporters who are turned off by his antics???

:howdy:

While I still don't typically call myself a Trump Supporter as such, I don't hate his guts like you and those like you do.

However the vitriol and hatred and venom that issues from the foam-flecked lips of vocal detractors and the media are so disgusting and transparently knee-jerk that has transformed a man that I do not like into a sympathetic figure. And when elitist pieces of crap like Bill Maher and Stephen Colbert wax hubristically about Trump Supporters, with their arrogant condescension it inflames that sympathy in me like a giant billow.

For Christ sake, the majority of his supporters on here and the OP on this thread revel in Trump’s asinine and embarrassing commentary/actions. It is so bad, Spitbubble claims to be unable to understand what the concept of “Being Presidential” actually means.

Yeah... just like that.

They're highly dysfunctional in their powers of persuasion because I hear that a lot - "I used to not like Trump but now I feel for the guy." When the man's detractors are infinitely more bombastic, arrogant, and disrespectful than he is....

Just what you said: they have turned him into a sympathetic figure.

I'm sure you do. I do also. I think there are a lot more like me than any one realizes. Certainly more than the press would have anyone believe.

I was very vocal (right here in these very forums) in my distaste for Trump during the campaign. Not the primary campaign so much, as I didn't think he had a chance in hell - but in the general election I was clear that he only had my vote because Satan Hillary was even less desirable as a president, and I'd have to choke down my own vomit after I pulled the lever.

Never liked him. Even back in the 80's before he was on reality TV, and when people like Oprah would gush over him in public, I thought he was an unbelievable bag of douche of the highest order. I still don't care for him on a personal level - but I'm probably going to vote for him in 2020 just to piss off the media, and sundry lefties.

Because, **** them and their arrogance.
