 and a :yeahthat: to your first post. My wife works at Macys and most of the custodial crew does not speak English. At least they are working and not out knocking folks in the head. Their English will come, just like it has for most of those who have imigrated to this country...the melting pot lives! :yay:
I think in the U.S. people should speak the English language and adapt to the American customs especially outside of the home. But it's true, at least they are out there working and trying to earn a living.

The U.S. is a Melting Pot - my Grandparents came from Italy and never spoke the English language. For some, learning a 2nd language other then their 1st may not come easy as it is for others especially as you get older. Too, some people are proud of their heritage and even though they come to the U.S. to make a better life for themselves, they don't want to lose their identity of who they are and where they came from.

You don't need anymore, unless you are looking for more money?
Why, will I get a raise at work if I have another kid? BTW, I have three kids, all while I was married to the same man (and still am) for 15 years. My oldest is 11 so no, it was not a shotgun wedding. Oh, my tubes are tied too as if it's anyones business.

Who the F cares what F'n language they used. Obviously they didn't mean you, so STFU. English is NOT the "American Language". My family is Italian. My great grandparents didn't speak English. As a mater of fact, they butchered our last name to fit THEIR illiterate ways of spelling. For the love of God, what the hell makes us think they should conform to us? Did the pilgrims take up the "native " language when we invaded their land and called it our own? No. We pressed our beliefes/opinions on them but offered "reservations" for them. BFD, I'm sure they were so grateful (not). We were bastards from the beginning and posts like this confirm my beliefs that the world has far too many bigots in it. For the love of God, WTF is the problem with speaking another language? Give it a rest already as$wipe.
So what language was that - ghetto tard?

Well, DoWhat, does that answer any and all questions you may have had about Camily's reproductive history?

If the mall had been on fire and the mall PA system was announcing that the place was burning up in spanish then I'd say we had a problem here. There was a communication for the purposes of doing a job or whatever I would imagine, so whats the big whoop? Being hispanic, it would have gotten my attention because it would be unusual but knowing the language I would have moved on. Of course the poster doesn't speak the language ( I guess) but it doesn't have to turn into a huge to do. Go to any China Town anywhere and ask them to speak english only or Little Italy or wherever you have a strong presense of typically non english speaking folks. See what might happen to ya!

Our kids are under educated. Traffic on 235 bites at 5PM. We have many soldeirs dying in a foreign country. NMCI Sucks donkey azz. Wendy's doesn't serve chicken cordon bleu. There, now you have stuff to ##### about.

Buenos Dias, que la pases bien. Feliz Navidad y prospero ano nuevo

You know if some of our lazy, indiginous, english speaking (read welfare moochers) would get off their ass and work, we wouldn't need migrant workers now would we?

As long as they are learning the language and will speak it while here, I have no problem. They work their butts off.

Now the loser maid from OJ Simpsons trial who had been here 20 yrs. and "claims" she didn't know english needs her ass deported pronto. :yay:

True.

We all assume it's easy for others to learn another language - it comes harder for some people.

i do believe if you're going to live in the u.s. then you should make some kind of attempt at learning english. one of my boss's was born and raised half her life in mexico and spent the other half in canada. she speaks both english and spanish fluently. she does say english is one of the hardest languages to learn since some words may be spelled the same but pronounced differently, etc. but i work in a dentist office and if you cant speak, read or understand some english, how am i supposed to know if you have a toothache and tell you your options? i dont know of any other dentists who speak spanish so without ours, these patients would be up a creek.

A simple point of the finger followed by a moan or two should get the point across. :sarcasm:

Hey, we give a flip. I said we do have a spanish speaking Dr. on staff. I was just saying if they dont know at least some English, it makes it very hard for people, not just us, to help them. Not every business has spanish speaking employees.
