Our first dance song was Feels So Right by Alabama. Got married in 1991 and still married.

Me either that's why it's not even an option! :lmao:

When my son got married he wasn't sure what song he wanted us to dance to because neither one of us wanted to start bawling all over the place - so I finally dedicated the song to him instead and came up with "I Hope You Dance" by LeeAnne Womack and we were able to have a lovely dance to a beautiful song without falling apart on each other. Maybe you two could try for a compromise too?

The mighty Al-Sonsie!
We didn't have one! We got married in Japan, heck our marriage license is in Kanji even. We had a great party for our pals but it was hardly a formal reception with wedding activities. My Mother-In-Law wanted to have us solomize our vows in the church and have a family celebration recently but I can't see the value in it. We've been together almost 10 years and have two kids, what's the point?

first wedding was dueling banjos. I loved the way my ex mother in law could twirl her tooth around.

last one was Wonderful tonight by clapton.

The very idea of getting married makes me  But If that ever happens I can come up with a soundtrack aimed to please my sense of

I'd like to be introduced to the tune of AC/DC as the groom and I enter the reception, probably Black in Black or Let Me Put My Love Into You.

The next song would be Safety Dance because I want a may poleand I'm an old 80's head:lol:
SInce my real Daddy is :dead: and I don't think I've EVER seen my Step-Dad dance, I'd most likely have my son give me away and dance to Sheryl Crow's version of Mother Nature's Son and first dance with Hubby would have to be something by Fleetwood Mac, like Silver Spring or Leather and Lace.

There would be some Rob Zombie and WIllie Nelson thrown in there too:lol:

so I take it that Judy Garland singing somwhere over the rainbow is not an option for even your gay guests?

"This I Swear"

You're there by my side
In every way
I know that you would not forsake me
I give you my life
Would not think twice
Your love is all I need believe me

I may not say it quite as much as I should
When I say I love you darling that means for good
So open up your heart and let me in

And I will love you 'til forever
Until death do us part we'll be together
So take my hand and hold on tight
And we'll get there
This I swear

I'm wondering how I ever got by
Without you in my life to guide me
Where ever I go the one thing that's true
Is everything I do I do for you

I may not say it half as much as I should
When I say I love you darling that means for good
So open up your heart and let me in
And I will love you 'til forever
Until death do us part we'll be together
So take my hand and hold on tight
And we'll get there
This I swear

So whenever you get weary
Just reach out for me
I'll never let you down my love

And I will love you 'til forever
Until death do us part we'll be together
So take my hand and hold on tight
And we'll get there

And I will love you 'til forever
Until death do us part we'll be together
So take my hand and hold on tight
And we'll get there
Ohh we'll get there
This I swear

Supper's Ready
We didn't have a special song. Got married in bridee's home town in France. At our reception there was music, but I honestly had no clue what it was (all french). That's our story and I'm sticking to it! :yay:

Sleep Deprived
My friends picked "Feels Like Home" for their song. I had forgotten that song until they played it....and I love it...but I'd feel boring if I used their song. :ohwell: But I can't listen to it without wanting to :bawl:.

CHANTAL KREVIAZUK LYRICS

"Feels Like Home"

Somethin' in your eyes, makes me wanna lose myself
Makes me wanna lose myself, in your arms
There's somethin' in your voice, makes my heart beat fast
Hope this feeling lasts, the rest of my life

If you knew how lonely my life has been
And how long I've been so alone
And if you knew how I wanted someone to come along
And change my life the way you've done

It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I come from
It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I belong

A window breaks, down a long, dark street
And a siren wails in the night
But I'm alright, 'cause I have you here with me
And I can almost see, through the dark there is light

Well, if you knew how much this moment means to me
And how long I've waited for your touch
And if you knew how happy you are making me
I never thought that I'd love anyone so much

It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way the back where I come from
It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I belong
It feels like I'm all the way back where I belong

That's such a great song. I wanted to have it somewhere in my wedding but couldn't find the right place.

Salt Life
We didn't have a traditional ceremony, just a few parties afterwards (lots of family, divorced, you get the idea). However, I told hubby that "our song" was Peter Gabriel's 'Book of Love.'
