Just watched Cool Hand Luke for the first time and thought the classic was well worth the two hours. Paul Newman is excellent as he was in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and most of his other films. Dragline (George Kennedy) also brought in a lot of light as a tough solid character with a remarkable sense of humor. George would go on to play Capt. Ed Hocken in the Naked Gun movie series. All in all a great film with superb camera shots and angles, foreshadowing, and well rounded characters.

I may be mistaken, but I seem to recall that George Kennedy won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Cool Hand Luke.

Cool Hand Luke, one of my all time favorite movies.. But my ALL time Favorite movie is Kelly's Heroes.. I knew when I was probably 10 years old, that I would be in Armor someday.. I TRIED to emulate Oddball (Donald Sutherland) throughout my career.. and damn near did a good job of it.. "Drinking some wine, eating some cheese.. barking at the moon. woof woof woof!!"
