What we saw at the beach

Grandson and I went to Flag Pond Tues. Look what we found.

Here she goes back into the surf.

She was stranded on her back above the surf line. After posing nicely for a couple photos, she walked back into the surf.

It's a red bellied turtle. A really big one. According to a couple sources the biggest one recorded was 15 3/4 ins. This one was close to that.

My son loves this place....have to go there soon---calvert cliffs state park is great too---but the walk will get to ya in the summer heat.
