What would cause my dog......???

My dog for the past 10-12 hours has been whinning and wanting to go outside like every 5-10 minutes. She goes outside and does #1 and then walks a little bit and attempts to go again and sometimes does that multiple times before she comes back inside. It appears to me that she might have like a urniary tract infection, is there anything that I can do for her before getting her to the vet hopefully tomorrow? She is not eating that much either. Any suggestions would be much appreciated and if anyone has experienced something of this sort with their pet, I would love to know how to possibly help her before tomorrow morning. Thanks in advance!

Get her to the vet asap. Is she able to go #2?

Sounds like my dog. He jumped up on the table and ate the bag that the roast was in. Eventually it came out, it was pretty nasty.

Sounds like a blockage. Is there a possibility she ate something she shouldn't have, like a sock, rocks, toys, anything unusual?

I was told by my husband that she was having a difficult time doing that about an hour ago. What do you think might be wrong with her?
Is the poop not normal colored? Is she bloated at all?

She is a lab, she will try to eat just about anything that is not tied down.

I see your future, you are heading to Annapolis to the emergency vet. She needs to get xrays to make sure there is nothing blocking her intestines. I don't think you need to wait until morning if this has been going on all day. What say you forumites??

Get her to the vet. My dog had cancer, but she could pee okay. She had a bit of orange in her stools for a week and had a hard time pooping and wasn't going much. Sounds like your dog doesn't have that. Mine was 14.

If your dog is laying around whining, obviously something is wrong, take the dog to the vet asap and worry later. IMO

I say that is a possibility. She needs to call her vet and see if the vet will see her tonight. If not, it's off to Annapolis.

I need a nap

What is the # and location for the emergency vet? i had a vet emergency (my dog had a pool stick in her mouth and she pushed it on the carpet and it went down her throat - freaked both of us out, but she was ok). I'd like to have the # and location in case of emergencies.
