Whats A Good Age To Seek Retirement Communities?

Let me just say, I am at an age of "ahhha moments" as Oprah would so eloquently put it. I am broaching that transitional period in life where the body is tired of trying to keep up with the ragged pace I've put it threw, working all kinds of jobs, many long hours, many sleep deprived days and the raising of two boys of whom are in college ages 20 and 25. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, (like that was possible!..lol) we were also military 20 years.. Why does the body give out when you need it most, instead of being tip top in your teenage years when it was wasted? :pete: It's a struggle to stay in the game when your falling apart !!! lol :otter:As I sit here posting to a forum while waiting to see yet another doctor !

Actually, there is a nice Adult community in Florida, a couple I know moved there, and that is where they will retire, has community pool, community center, boat ramp, fishing pier where you can also crab and shrimp..is just south of daytona about 20 min or so.. Visited down there and is where if I can talk my wife into it would love to retire.. warm weather palm trees and margeuritas... that would be the life..

Sounds nice but I would feel too panicky about the weather system and the aligators. I think I'll work on that here in Lexington Park. I'll create a retirement community like no other with the palm trees, and marguaritas that you can move into sooner and be able to stay there to the end as I plan on doing something up to the moment I meet my maker. Fishing, Boating, Theater and a packed Social calander........

Hubby just turned 50. Got the AARP package in the mail and we've already signed him up for a 5 year membership (I'm included free)! He was so excited! :lmao:
