What's building in La Plata?

La Platan
On each side of the Safeway, there are two lots being prepared, one big, one small.

I'd heard the big is supposed to be a Lowes.

The lowes would be so nice there in LaPlata but; I feel if they keep building in LaPlata the way they are its going to end up just like Waldorf. :shrug:

I thought T.J. Maxx was moving out there. I was in there a few weeks ago, and the CSR said they are going to moving out there somewhere.

Chick-Fil-A on the left, Target on the right -- at least that's the rumor I've heard. Lowe's/Giant will be further up north on the Rosewick Rd. extension.

greene turtle is being built on Saint Mary's Avenue ....Where the old Mitchell's use to be. Should be close to opening.

Also Ruby Tuesday's is going where the Dash in is by KFC. Staples going where the old Safeway use to be....Alot of stuff! Also Arizona Pizza is coming to La Plata

If they put in a Target and a Lowe's, I'll never have to leave La Plata again. Oh, except for work. Darn...... :doh:

:yeahthat: Target sometime next year - probably earlier than later. I'm not sure about the opposite side of Shining Willow Way.

Along the Rosewick extension you can see where they pre-built turn-offs... so you know something will be built eventually.

I was joking with a friend a few weeks ago how so many trees are disappearing. I just wish it wasn't so true. :ohwell:

I drove past Rosewick tonight and the Lowe's/Giant coming soon sign is up. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it is going to be a retail complex with other stores as well (aka 'strip mall'). :frown:

The other side of Shining Willow Way will be home to a Petco and a couple of other stores from what I heard fromthe property management company.
