They knew that Joe was compromised and yet they covered for him anyway. There was a story yesterday where a bunch of them flat out said that they didn't report Joe's decline (from the hoof in mouth goober he was before) because it would give credence to what the Republicans have been saying all along.
Repeat: they specifically lied to make the Democrat look good and the Republican look bad.
