CNN Has continuous reporting. My info one dead and three injured. They did request the mass casualty trailer from Charles County, hopefully it wont be needed. Unfortunately if there is a trauma patient the troopers wont be flying because of the weather. Its a long ground trip to PG Hospital.

The mass casualty units from charles are on their way back. Thankfully the scope of the incident was such that it could be handled with the regular SM EMS infrastructure and mutual aid from Calvert, Pax River and Charles.

I saw one heading down 235 with lights and sirens going when I was heading north around 8:30 and wondered what was going on. Also an ambulance was heading north with a state trooper escort.

Praying for all involved. My old high school sure has changed.

Even though this happened, sadly, in our neck of the woods, the vilification will continue, the NRA was not present, and that firearm did not walk into the school, and discharge, by itself. Also remember that 6 corporations own 90% of the news media and they are all on the same page. Do not expect balanced news. On the contrary, expect one-sided anti-constitutional, emotionally tainted renditions calling for the surrender of inalienable and inherently natural rights. Do not let emotion now cloud your judgment, or resolve, vis the Constitution, because this happened here.

And THAT, folks, is how you handle the problem: make sure that the people designated to keep our children safe are not crippled by lack of proper tools. Hopefully SOMEONE in the media will comment on this important distinction from the mess in Florida a few weeks ago.
